He wrote me an e-mail and told me about his last exhibition

at the prestigious and luxury International Finance Center (ifc)

Mall in Hong Kong, for Milk X magazine 5th anniversary exhibition
"Style Legends”.

I decided to do an interview with him.

1. How did you becomea Fashion Illustrator, did you visited any school?
Actually I've always loved draw human body, attitude, faces, and what is linkedto beauty and aesthetic,also, I've always loved the work of the greatfashion illustrators like René Gruau, David Downton, Kareem Ilya.

So I have naturally endedup in the fashion illustration. It was natural and could notconceive to do anything else. I followed studies in graphic art, andthen work in graphic design before becoming a fashion illustrator, Irealized that only physical contact with the traditional equipment could giveme real feelings.

2. What kind of stuff makes you happy?
Many things...colors and music can touch me.
Sometimes, the nature of a shadecan suggest
ideas to me. Generally, I make my environment
a jumble of ideas: Iseek the detail that will form,
bring something, and sublime my work.

3. You contact me because you find myblog
in google, during your research. What do you
think about otherartist, did you get inspired
by them and are you interested incollaborations?
I love to see works from differents artists. It inspires
everydays and cansuggest ideas to me.
Sure, I'm always interested and happy to
hear about a new collaborationfor new a project.

4. During my study I have a lot of time pressure because of ourdeadline. How dou you handle with time pressure?
Actually, this is one of the difficulties of our job. I think one have to bevery organize himself in order to finish work before the deadline ends. Regardingme, I realized that I loved to work under pressure. Making a lot of sketchesbefore finding right harmony, trying to be the most relevant
as possible in a very short time...this inspires, and excites me a lot, andallows me to improve myself.

Shoes are the important accessoires of the women.

So I started looking up for some artist's.

Born:
1959 in Kent

Study:
Canterbury ( Foundation year 1977- 1978)
Wolverhampton (BA hons illustration/graphics 1979-1981)

Career:
1984 he moved to Brighton

Work:
advertising and packaging to illustrating fiction, cook books and, occasionally, fashion.

In 1996, the Financial Times commissioned him to draw at the couture shows and since then David has become known principally as a fashion illustrator.

David’s commercial client list includes:

I did this way of painting very often, because the first part is just something you would never paint from your brain. The second part is luck and what you really can.

So these ink painting remembered me of an "Haute Couture Dress".
From a magazine I cutted a head which fits into the painting and gives them a personality.
